William Morris in South Australia
Live lecture
Michele HILL

Starting with a brief introduction to the life of William Morris, our presenter then explains why South Australia has one of the biggest collections of William Morris furnishings outside of the UK. The Barr-Smith family alone were the biggest international client of Morris and Co in the 1800s.

Michele Hill developed an interest in William Morris designs when she took up quilting as a diversion from her nursing career. Her hobby has since led to opportunities to share her passion for William Morris designs through travel, lecturing and publishing.
