Exhibition

This workshop is part of a month long exhibition titled ‘REVIEW’ which features garments designed and hand knitted by textile artist Phyllis Williams,  this exhibition showcases the intricate designs and technical ability  of her wearable artwork created over the past five years.

Each garment takes approximately 2months to complete, from concept development , graphing of designs ,dying wool to facilitate a myriad of colours, and hand knitting in fine 2ply wool.

Drawing inspiration from diverse areas  together with Phyllis' background in teaching  Costume Design and Construction,  the fine wool and stranded knitting technique help create garments with excellent drape and durability, each piece a unique artwork.
