About the proposal

The Arts and Culture Centre aims to build upon Victor Harbor’s rich built and cultural heritage by combining four of Victor Harbor’s most prominent buildings: the Town Hall, Old Mechanics Institute, Librarian’s Residence and Victa Cinemas.

The new design builds on significant research and investigations to present a facility that better meets the community's needs. The proposed design includes a Proscenium Theatre, Flexible Theatre, Gallery Space, and the associated Back of House and Foyer space that connect it all together, along with the refurbishment of the Victa Cinemas. The concept plan also includes a public meeting room, food and beverage spaces and large flexible tenancy spaces.

The community is invited to share feedback on the concept design for the new Arts and Culture Centre.

• Complete our survey – by using the online survey form found at www.yoursay.victor.sa.gov.au/arts-and-culture-centre. Hard copy surveys can also be collected from the City of Victor Harbor Civic Centre (1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor). The survey will close at 5pm on Monday, 7 June 2021.

The feedback collected during this consultation will help to inform the final concept design.
