BARB PETTIGREW
Biography
Taught art, drama and multi arts for 40 years, both in metropolitan and country secondary schools, after graduating from SA School of Art and Western Teachers College in 1970.
Retired in 2012 leaving Adelaide to live in Yankalilla, and continued teaching art privately, to community members.
As a practising artist has held a number of solo exhibitions, created sets for various theatre companies, and has been commissioned to create large public art projects by SA Tourism and Adelaide City Council.
Held the position of Project Officer for Country Arts SA in 1995 and Arts Officer 1996, based in the Riverland and Mallee Region.
Member of the Board and Planning Committee for the Festival Fleurieu from 2014 to 2019.
Member of the Yankalilla Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee in 2019 and 2020.
As a passionate artist Barb continues to produce work for exhibitions in SALA, Fringe Festival and rural communities.
